Pivnica Cajkov Devin

A great match with potato chips? This Slovakian wine from the Devin grape variety from Pivnica Čajkov.

It is a cross between Gewürztraminer and red Veltliner, developed at the end of the 1950s at the Wine Research Institute in Bratislava and received its name in 1997.

This Devin was grown on volcanic soils, fermented on the skins and then left to settle for six months without further intervention. Very intense, with lots of phenolic grip on the palate. Rosewater, lychees with nutmeg. Earthy notes with a fine mineral finish.
