I still owe some tasting notes—for example, the Krug 2004, which I enjoyed very much.
Cellarmaster Eric Lebel combined 37% Pinot noir, 39% Chardonnay and 24% Pinot Meunier according to “Fraicheur Lumineuse – Glowing Freshness”. This theme is not least a reminiscence of the rather cool vintage compared to its predecessor 2003. The result is Krug-typically very complex and beautiful due to its freshness.
I have noted: Lemon, orange peel, apple and white flowers. Delicate biscuit, roasted nuts, and intense mineral scents complete the fruit. It is very long and creamy; the champagne is perfect for drinking now but still has a lot of time ahead.
