Haut-Brion 2007

  • Post category:tastings

One of the wines of this weekend was the 2007 Haut-Brion from the magnum. With its volatile growing season, the vintage was not easy in Bordeaux, but what Haut-Brilon has brought to the bottle this year is remarkable.

A blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc. Very classic and restrained on the palate, marked by finesse and elegance. Very delicate fruit definition with cassis, red and blackberries, tobacco, dark chocolate, olives and liquorice. Fresh acidity, medium-bodied with a savoury finish and slightly drying tannins – challenging and refreshing at the same time. Perfect for enjoying now.
